Office Visits
Well baby and well child visits need to be scheduled in advance. It is not uncommon for us to schedule a month or more ahead of time in order to allow ample time for visits for sick children. There may be occasions in the office where an emergency will dictate that we see individuals out of turn. We do our best to see your child as promptly as possible. We ask that you not to come to the office without calling for an appointmenttfirst, as this frequently results in a long delay or even an unnecessary visit. If you are not sure if your child needs to be seen, do call and ask our opinion and advice.
If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, please call and cancel or reschedule so your appointment slot can be offered to another patient. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you will likely be asked to reschedule the appointment for another time.
Our Outlook
It is our task to assist you in helping each child strive to reach his or her maximum potential (a lifelong quest for each of us). It will require an outpouring of emotional and physical energy and will not be easy for any of us involved. And we must all be involved!
We also believe that “prevention is the best cure.” Our efforts shall be directed toward keeping your child healthy both physically and emotionally, able not only to tolerate the stress of everyday living but also to put this stress to use. In order to do that we obviously must involve you, the parent(s). We can direct you and make suggestions and recommendations, but you must do the actual parenting tasks as they best fit your personalities, life-styles, and goals.
Finally, we do not have all of the answers. No one does. We do our best to solve the problems of children or acquire assistance in solving a problem. In those circumstances where no solution is forthcoming we strive to do our best to support you and help you persevere to love and care for your child.
